Olsbergs MSE driver Oliver Eriksson earned the first victory of his GRC Lites career in Saturday’s main event at Daytona International Speedway. Despite a sour-sounding engine and a hard-charging Alejandro Fernandez behind him, Eriksson lasted the full eight-lap distance to give OMSE its second Lites victory of the year and 11th consecutive win in the class. Miles Maroney earned his first career Lites podium in third behind them.
Austin Cindric, Eriksson’s OMSE teammate and the Fort Lauderdale winner, wasn’t quite so lucky. A mechanical failure in the main event dropped him to eighth in the overall results and third in the championship standings.
